When I add my drop down menu the link to the original button no longer works. For instance when I add drop down buttons to the Home button the Home button becomes in active. Anyone ever had the problem? If so, how do you fix it?

Apple is most likely not going to update iWeb, BUT this doesn’t mean that it ceases to exist. You will still be able to use iWeb as long as you have it on your computer. You can buy a new computer in one year, and while iWeb won’t be on it, you will most likely still be able to install iWeb. So I would say use iWeb if it makes sense for you. Read some of this blog’s latest posts to learn more about iWeb and how to make a good business website. Ask questions whenever they arise. Good luck!

Hi Jeremy,

I’m new to iWeb and would like to build a website for a business client who doesn’t need all the bells and whistles of a CMS site. I’d like to know what the future of iWeb is? Are Apple continuing to support iWeb and do updates, or is it basically out of production?

My client only needs a basic site which I can do easily in iWeb, and at half the cost (for him) of a CMS site.

Any advice would be appreciated, as I don’t want to build the site, then find out I have to build a new one in 6 months time if iWeb ceases to exist.

Hi.
Need help. I have created buttons in flash, inserted them into an iframe with html snippet in iweb. The buttons show in the browser, i click a button it navigates me fine…but as soon as i want to navigate to another page, the flash button plays, but nothing happens, I then go back in my browser and the buttons(flash) have disappeared. I can only navigate with my flash buttons once and thereafter they do not navigate….can anyone help or direct me to a relevant post.

Yes you will still be able to use iWeb and continued building all those sites.

You don’t need to change to a different website builder. If you have iWeb on your computer, you will be able to continue to use it,

I was wondering abou the beautiful jquery slider. In the video, you mentioned that we needed to select the number of images we wanted, but left the default at 7. Is there any way to change this? I’d like to reduce the number to 4, but am unfamiliar with html. I’m using this for our church website relaunch as a scrolling information board. If needs be, I can mock up 7 slides, but it seems a bit much for a front end. Any help you could provide would be great!

I’m having the same issue. The attention bar works great but the the countdown and other html snippets have been disabled.

Has anyone figured out how to circumvent this yet? I’d love to use the attention bar, but not at the expense of the other items I have running on the site…

I Have the same problem. I publish my sites to Mobile Me so I can only upload via iWeb, and when I do that it seems to overwrite any changes I may have made in the code. Does anyone else know a way around it?
