In Highslide for images. What page tag are we editing. I assumed it was the page I wanted to put this on but it wont open like HTML with text edit. Any suggestions??

jason, sorry —- ignore the part where i indicate that you said there are 2 folders in the zipped folder — i confused that with a suggestion from the author of fancy zoom in a comment on the apple forum — it has something to do with placing the fancy zoom folder outside of the actual website [on mobile me] in order for iweb not to erase it each time the site is updated in iWeb. that didnt work for me either.

i have had no success with this, though the video tutorial was excellent, very clear! i do notice that the fancy zoom tutorial in your TIPS BLOG on your site is from 2008 —- does the downloaded zipped folder there support iweb 09? from your video tutorial i see when you go to your site the TIPS BLOG for fancy zoom looks different than the one i am seeing on your site now. [in fact the date for the tutorial is 2008, whereas your video tutorial is 2010] the location and appearance of the zipped folder looked very different in the video compared to what i am seeing — furthermore in the video you refer to 2 folders in the downloaded folder — the single folder i just downloaded from your tutorial has all the fancy zoom files directly in it [there are not 2 sub folders]. something leads me to believe thatt i am downloading an older version —- please advise. i’d love to get this to work!

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could link two iFrames together in iweb. for example. there is a link on a page in one iFrame and I would like that link to open inside of the other iFrame. I know that this can be done but don’t know how to embed it in to iweb. here is a page that I have come across demonstrating this.

OK, this is NOT working. Like everyone else, it works on my computer, but when I try the online address after I’ve uploaded them, it just opens the pics in another window..

I’m following the dropdown with just HTML and was wondering if there is code I can add to make it “drop UP” as it were. I have my nav bar on the bottom of the page so that would be perfect!

Do you think you could publish a video on how this is done? I’d really like to have a workflow clear on how I can save the changes made to the html code separately so in case I have to republish with iweb I dont have to start all over.

Israel,

Every time you republish iweb it will erase and re-upload any page that was altered. If there are non-published iweb elements in those folders, they will be removed automatically. So If you add files to the folder or alter the html code after the page file was created, you will need to redo this every time. The only time you wouldn’t need to is if the code was placed in an HTML snippet. Unfortunately, you cannot do that with Highslide as it requires after edits.

I’m trying to copy over to my mobile me account, so I dont see why I would have a permissions problem. Furthermore, the graphics folder and highslide-full.js file come across no problem. Many thanks in advance… i’d really like to get this feature working on my site!

Jaza, it’s possible that your server doesn’t have the correct read/write permissions. If you connect to your server in something like Transmit, you can press command + i and you can see the read/write permissions. I’d put your read/write permssions to something like Octal: 755.

If your not familiar with all this you may want to contact your hosting company to make your server have the appropriate read/write permissions.

When I try to copy the highslide folder to my site folder on my mobile me account I receive an error when the highslide.css and the swfobject.js files try to be copied over. “The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “highslide.css” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)”

I’ve tried to copy over the Lytebox files and I receive the same error. Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Yeah, this just is not working correctly. Different browsers are not seeing comments. Safari can see comments that people commented using Safari, Firefox can see comments that people commented using Firefox.

Well….. I tried the Disqus method and everything is great but when you go look at the comments in Firefox, the previous comments are not there!

Is that why that extra code down below the copy and paste code is there on the Disqus site?
