audio on multiple pages

Hi, I love the info given on this site, very useful. Thankyou for such comprehensive plain english explanations. I have put a garageband tune on my site but find that I have had to add it to every page, hence, it restarts everytime I go to a new page. Is there a way around this. I had seem something on apple support about using iframe. looked like home page was static at the top with the music continually playing and the body was reloaded by iframe. Didn't quite get it as the contributors usually seem to think you are as expert as them. Can you offer any suggestions.

Hey Blindman007, yeah it is possible and the solution is iFrames. Because when you change pages it has to load the new page and leave the past page. Therefore your song you had on the last page won't be there anymore. So to get this effect, do this.

1) Create your site, publish to your server.
2) Create another site and make just one page with width and height slightly larger than your main site.
3) Add song somewhere at the top or bottom of page
4) Then use my iFrame code tip to get the main page of your site into your page (adjust width and height of iframe as needs to show entire page.

This way, people will be navigating your pages inside the iframe and your audio will continue playing cause they won't be leaving that main page, just navigating from page to page in the iframe.

Hope that makes sense.

Hey, another thing. The music I have on my webpage doesn't seem to come through when viewing on ipod touch. Is this normal or is there some special way that the music would have to be set up. The file is mp3 which from my research should play. Any info would be great.

I've figured out how to do it with thanks to iwuLTD. For anyone interested, the big tip is, don't try to do this from with the same site. You can't kill the top menu bar (home about us etc), or at least I can't seem to, so you end up with an extra page listed there if you try to do it from within your own site. Make a blank site, drag a html snippet over the name of your page on the new site so that it doesn't appear., iframe your original site in and all is good. Drop you music on the bottom of the new page. Check out boutiqueblinds.com.au to see.

Blidman007 you can kill the top menu bar. Simply go to the site inspector, click the page button and uncheck the box that says Display Navigation Menu.
