Hi Andreak, use a free download from Rage Software called iWeb SEO Tool
http://www.ragesw.com/products/iweb-seo-tool.html
You need to publish the site to a local folder then open that folder with SEO tools. There you can add page titles, descriptions keywords, google analytic code, and image titles.
Hit apply all for each page and you're set to go. You can then either publish to MobileMe using the SEO Tool or use a FTP program if publishing to a different server.
Great Advice from Bluenotes!
The only downside is having to publish to a folder first if your not using MobileMe.
If you go to google.com/analytics, login, then follow these steps:
# From the Overview page, select the account that has the profile for the tracking code you're looking for, as the code is profile-specific.
# Select the profile from the accounts Overview page.
# From that profile's Actions column, click Edit
# At the top right of the 'Main Website Profile Information' box, click Check Status
# Your tracking code can be copied and pasted from the text box in the Instructions for adding tracking section
Once you have your specific code. Go Back to iWEB and add an HTML snippet and paste the code inside.
This will give you an empty (invisible HTML snippet). Make sure you select move to back so it doesn't cover any other assets in your webpage.
I put mine at the bottom of my homepage behind my footer image. Works perfectly! Make sure you give it 24hours to display any results once you publish your page.
Hope this helps, and you don't have to install any other software. I do recommend iWeb SEO Tool though!
I would not post the analytics code in an HTML snippet. The reason for this is because placing it in a snippet may result in some skewed data. Items in snippets are viewed as almost being on a separate web page. Also, Google requires the code be placed in a certain section within your HTML in order to gain optimal chance at accurate data. Because of this, HTML snippets are not the way. Use iWeb SEO Tool. Publishing to a local folder isn't that bad right?
