What code would i use to reference something on my own computer?
If you're going to host the image on your computer and have it fed to a website dynamically, then you will need a static IP address from your internet provider. The IP would be the address of the computer then you will need to place the file in a public folder.
It would look something like this:
http://XX.XXX.XX/publicfolder/image.jpg
It would actually be best to host the image in your idisk/gallery if using MobileME, the hosting server of the website, or by using flickr/facebook/etc.
