"GravityBeats", there is a way that you can do that...sort of. I can email with a more in-depth explanation but basically you need to go to a site that provides one of these sliders. For example i went to "AnythingSlider". 1. They give you a folder to download. Go ahead and download that folder. 2. Once you get the folder it will have a few files like (folders called "css", "images","js" and a then a file called "index.php". "Index.php" is the source file, where you can edit everything. (For example you could upload all these files to your server and you would get the demo or example version that is shown on AnythingSlider's site. However, you obviously do not want the demo version, but it just shows you that it can work. Anyways....once you create your images and text that you want on the slider, upload it all to your server. Once they are uploaded you can finally edit the "index.php" file in a program like Coda, or TextEdit if you would like. It is very easy to edit! you just enter in your file names, size, etc. Then your files will be in place of the original demo files. Once you are done editing the file you can save it and upload it to your server. If you upload it to a brand new folder, it will create a brand new page that only has the slider on it. From there you can use iFrames to easily insert it into your site.
I know this is not a lot in detail but i hope that you can use it as a guide. If you want to see how AnythingSlider could look in a website then see my example here: http://www.thelighthouseoflapeer.org/yeah/Today.html
Notice that it does not look iFramed in, and looks great! Hope you have some luck with this!
