This tutorial will show you how to get more advanced navigation in iWeb. Navigation such as custom rollovers, drop down menus, and more. It’s the ultimate tutorial on getting a new navigation that goes far and beyond what the default is offered in iWeb. It’s a must see for any heavy iWeb user.

This is a great tutorial, but the issue I am having is my navigation menus are not listed at the top one next to the other. I have them listed on the left hand side one on top of the other. Is there a way to get a drop down menu that will move the lower menus down when highlighting to get the sub-menus or some other work around so the sub-menus don’t open on top of the lower “actual” menus?

Hi, I am really enjoying your website.
I would love to create some nice drop down buttons like you have done on your website.
I tried your dropdowns but they ended up in the right top corner, not under the button, and I really don’t like having to update the file every time I publish, as that is fairly frequently with a blog etc on my site.
    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi there!
First, thanks a lot for all your video tutorials, I just have two questions:
    1. how did you create the search box similar to Apple’s (in you navigation bar)?
    2. How did you create the effect that appears when you scroll your mouse through the menu bar and it kinda gets darker.
    Thanks a LOOOT!

My iweb is published through mobile me which i believe it has to be. However in the tutorial it shows you publishing to a local folder. The last time i change where i was publishing it messed everything up. In order for to me do the coding for the drop box i know i need to find the html, but how do i do that if i don’t publish it through a folder on my computer? Sorry if this makes no sense. Thanks

    Hello, I like your work!

I did the Izzy menu on one of my web pages and it works great…the only thing is that if I view it in Windows 7 OS…..the menu comes in a white box :-(

This only happens with windows OS (on my MAC it’s good)

Let me know if this could be fixed…Thanks alot!

So close… The main and dropdown menu buttons all work great at the URL for the IzzyMenu itself, all links are live and open to the next page (even in the same window, after making some tweaks with help from above comments). But on the actual website, 1) in Safari, the main menu links are not live, only the submenu links; 2) in Firefox, no links are live. Any advice on what might be the problem and how to resolve it so the website menu will have live links on at least these two browsers? USRonline.net, and http://www.usronline.net/dropdown/IzzyMenu.html.

    Kind thanks in advance.

I’ve temporarily put up a different dropdown menu on the home page for usronline.net, because the Izzymenu solution is causing a problem. The same problem comes with this one from Old Toad. I’m sure I’m missing a quick step inside the Snippet, or something similar. If anyone knows how to resolve the problem of buttons that are not live, however live they may be in IzzyMenu page (noted in previous post), a solution is welcome.
    Thanks all.

Ok I have my menu with drop down.. it works when I double click the HTML file. It’s uploaded to my mobile me root server but every time i use the iframe code and type in where it’s at just like the video shows it doesn’t work? Has anyone had this problem? I have worked and worked and I am just about to give up. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks

Okay I figured it out… it’s showing in mobile me now perfect. HOWEVER, when I publish my page it somehow deletes my folder I have uploaded in my root. I have no idea why. so it’s still not working… although if I don’t publish it, it looks great in mobile me.
