RAGE Software just emailed their latest video tutorial which is based off of their popular short URL video. This new video shows iWeb users how to get rid of the redirect in iWeb (you know how typing in your domain redirects it to a longer URL). If you are interested in getting rid of your redirect, take a look at this tutorial to learn how. Let me know what you think. The application shown in the video is iWeb SEO Tool.

Hi to whom it may Concern – I have tried this a few different ways. I have re-named my “home” page, as “index” and made sure that “include in page navigation” is unchecked. I have then put just the website folder through, iWeb SEO tool and also Web Crusher and uploaded via 3rd party FTP (Fillazilla) to my root directory.

All I only then get when I type in my website address is my FTP Index site listing! Even then, when I click on my website folder, my first or “home” page still comes up with my website name followed by “/index”. All the other pages follow this pattern of having the domain name, followed by the website folder name followed by the page name

To get my site to work as it is currently live, I have uploaded the actual “index.html” file that was generated, while I wait for your comments? Should I just rename my “home” page and re-uplaod to avoid any future confusion?

    Thanks

This was a great tutorial and worked perfectly. I thought I was doing something strange in my hosting account. Wish I would have found your site sooner. Thanks again
