According to All About iWeb an iWeb replacement is on its way.

This is extremely exciting news! We have all been waiting for an iWeb replacement since Apple has had no plans to update the current version and there is nothing that really comes close to what iWeb offered. It could even be iWeb itself, but we won’t know until more information is released.

You can sign up to be notified when the iWeb replacement is released.

Let’s hope this is actually what we have been waiting for! Leave your comments below if you are excited as I am.

Thanks for the news, but, in fact, Adobe Muse is quite the alternative to iWeb. Thank you for your website. It helped me improve my websites immensely back in the days. You did a good job.

As you so rightly say nothing comes close to iWeb and with just a few basic updates, as in releasing it from being only accessible from the creators mac this could be the best web builder there is.

As Fred said previously there are alternatives out there to replace iWeb but I don’t think anything on the market is/was quite as intuitive and easy to use for the non-web designer as iWeb was.
I think it is great news for the industry because it will hopefully give many startup and small businesses the opportunity to develop a cheap website without using some of the crap alternatives that are advertised on TV.

I just talked to someone at Rage Software to see if they are gonna be hosting sites for this replacement, Easyweb. They told me that apple is not the creators of this software, so it won’t be a part of any built in software, like the iLife on current Macs.
